Custom aliases
Custom aliases let you choose the name of your email alias instead of using a randomly generated one. This feature is available with a Pro subscription.
How custom aliases work
Instead of getting a random alias like xk7f9m@m.guardemail.com, you can create meaningful names:
shopping@m.guardemail.com— for online storesnewsletters@m.guardemail.com— for email subscriptionssocial@m.guardemail.com— for social media accountstrials@m.guardemail.com— for free trial sign-ups
Why use custom aliases?
Easy to remember
You can recall your alias without looking it up. Useful when filling out forms on mobile or when you don't have the add-on open.
Better organization
By naming aliases after their purpose, you can quickly see which service an email came from, even before opening it.
Professional appearance
Custom aliases look more intentional and professional than random strings of characters.
